Jimmie Blowers

Mon, Jul 9, 2001; by Jimmie Blowers.

The philosophy that you can't teach an old dog new tricks is false. I really like technology and have often begged for it along with training on how to use it. I also love books. As the librarian, I believe I need to know as much as I can to assist and support students and staff in curriculum projects. The middle school has used computers and integrated technology every chance that we can get our hands on new equipment or software. This workshop is exciting because of the new things that we can learn. That is why I am here. Reseach shows that students who use the library have higher test scores. Computers and technology make learning fun and increase the likelihood of continued and extended learning in the classroom and in the library.
