Dissemination

Fri, Jun 22, 2001; by Michael Kravets.

An important part of this project is the goal of sharing the products and experiences of ASIST Team members with other teachers in the three participating districts and all interested parties across the state and throughout the nation. ASIST Team members will become trainers in their own districts and collaborators on technologically integrated curriculum modules. Accomplishments and products developed through the July workshop will disseminated within the three districts by the beginning of the 2001-2002 school year. All Kansas school districts and any others who choose to share the products of this project, will be able to access the integrated modules on the project's interactive website.

Information will be compiled by the three district technology coordinators and organized as a report by Jim Banister, USD 203 Coordinator of Grants and Assessments. Along with the above-mentioned curriculum units, the report will be shared with all interested school districts in the state through the Consortium’s Interactive Web Site. The report will include a detailed explanation of how Profiler™ and the "Take a Step" and “Basic Skills” surveys were used to assess and evaluate the program’s impact on staff and students.

Additionally, trained staff members will be made available to serve as advisors to any district contemplating a similar project. Exemplary curriculum projects developed by faculty members as a result of this project will also be shared through publication on the Consortium Web Site, and on the district Web sites and the Saint Mary College Web Site.

All products developed through the summer workshop, and a summary accomplishment report will be made available on the Consortium’s Interactive Web Site. Hard copies will be mailed to interested districts by request. Staff advisory visits to other districts may be scheduled through building principals. E-mail addresses of the participants of the workshop and other district staff members who have achieved the "Innovators" and "Leadership" levels as measured by Profiler™ will posted on the school Web page. They will be available for consultation for teachers from other school districts. Additionally, as new technologically integrated curriculum units are developed by faculty, they will be posted on the Web site.
