Career Brochure For Sociology

Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to research a professional career in Sociology. You will need to find a career, explain the day to day functions of this career. You will need to include the job description of this career, the education needed to attain this career, the current income of this profession, the projected income and long range prospects of prosperity for this position or for this position in a company. After researching the internet for this information, the info should be presented into a 3 fold brochure, using Microsoft Publisher. The students will have 5 days in the internet lab to gather information, compile this information, and create a brochure. The 6th and 7th days will be used for presentation of the brochures to the class.

Objectives: 1) Students will develop researching techniques for the the internet. Appropriate searches. 2) Students will discover a variety of jobs and careers in the field of sociology. 3) Students will display a capability of using Publisher. 4) Students will use and give Peer tutoring while working the publisher and internet resources. 5) Presentation skills and speaking skills will be presented and demonstrated.
